Swedish power metallers Crystal Eyes will be releasing a new album next month, on July 25th via Massacre Records. Entitled Killer, it will contain 9 brand new songs, of which one - "Hail The Fallen" - is now available for pre-listening through the YouTube player below. Check it out and share your thoughts.

It's alright, nothing majorly original but the vocalist is pretty good at high notes - reminds me of the vocals in King Diamonds early work, not sure why

How do bands like this get a recording deal? Generic much?

Generic = familiar, and there is quite a large portion of metal fans - especially heavy/power metal fans - who like familiar.
