As Blood Runs Black - Streaming New Song, Announce Break Up
As Blood Runs Black's drummer Hector "Leche" De Santiago recently released a statement announcing that the deathcore band was calling it quits. The group recorded a new album called Ground Zero which was crowdfunded and still plan to release it. However, it still remains unclear as to whether or not they still plan to breakup, as the band posted a new video online called "As Blood Runs Black Address Break Up Rumors". It is actually a lyric video for a new track. You can listen to "Insomniac" below.
Drummer's statements: "After years of uphill battles, dealing with legalities, politics, getting robbed blind by our ex label, left for dead and getting shelved by the industry... I'm here to to say all things come to an end. As Blood Runs Black was born in my parents basement and has been the biggest part of my life since 2003. She was my daughter. We had a dream and we ran as far as we could with it. Forever in debt and grateful for the band of brothers (past and present) who risked their lives, contributed, and truly risked it all for the love and passion of music. We literally gave and lost everything in this storm. THANKS to all who supported and gave us a chance to share our music with you guys. We were all broken kids and you guys (and gals) gave us a chance to live. THANK YOU!"
The band later said via email: "There have been a lot of questions recently regarding the future of the band and the release of Ground Zero. We wanted to reach out and let you know that Ground Zero will be coming out in the fall and you will be receiving your Indiegogo contributor perks before the public release of the album. We are putting together a worldwide tour schedule through next summer to support the album starting this fall in North America. Let us know where you want to see us play and we'll do our best to make it happen. More detailed information is coming soon. Thank you for bearing with us through this challenging time, your support is what keeps us going."
Confused? It could be a publicity stunt or maybe the band will clarify this situation at some point.
