Raum Kingdom - Raum Kingdom Listen at [url= http://raumkingdom.bandcamp.com/releases]Bandcamp[/url] This Irish quartet's debut EP takes the listener on an incredibly emotional journey, traveling through the murkiest and most vile parts of the human psyche with an overwhelming sense of desperation. Buoyed by an immense and suffocating atmosphere, these Cult Of Luna sound-alikes bring with them a more aggressive and simultaneously depressive approach to their brand of post-metal, brilliantly summed up in a heartfelt 3-minute spoken word passage halfway through. Kali - Kali Listen at Bandcamp If you liked the more atmospheric and somewhat experimental direction Tool took with 10,000 Days, then Kali is a band you should familiarize yourself with immediately. Employing a similar sound that straddles the line of progressive rock and metal, Kali is a well-constructed EP featuring evocative clean vocals, smooth and thoughtful riffs, and appropriately relaxing drum work. The casual vibe suits the band well, with contrasting bombastic moments interspersed to keep the listener's mind from wandering too much, as this is music to pay attention to. by Troy Killjoy

Torrid Husk - Caesious Listen at [url= http://torridhusk.bandcamp.com/]Bandcamp[/url] West Virginia's trio Torrid Husk conveys an atmospheric black metal in its purest form. Caesious is an EP of three tracks that portrays and offers a blasting experience of versatile patterns, which can be identifiable with the main structure and characteristic of atmospheric black metal sound. Caesious won't give you much time to rest, while it offers abrupt and appealing passages, insanely pounding all over the place. Torrid Husk wrapped all this with quite impressive production, filled with black metal joy that won't leave you indifferent. by Abattoir

Fever Sea - Fever Sea Listen at [url= https://feversea.bandcamp.com/album/fever-sea]Bandcamp[/url] Fever Sea had the unfortunate task of having to follow up The Deluge, their impressive 2012 debut EP, and they did so in equally impressive fashion with this self-titled release. In spite of shaking up their lines, the music remains the same at its core, in all its maturity. The band describes their sound as "music with weight", which couldn't be more accurate. Combining hints of extremity and beautiful melodies with catchy riffs, Fever Sea have once again captured lightning in a bottle thanks in large part to their captivating songwriting. Myopic - Beyond the Mirror's Edge Listen at Bandcamp What if I told you there existed a band that combined elements of virtually every extreme metal sub-genre, and managed to do so in a comprehensive, almost accessible way? Myopic have conquered this feat with a delightfully dirty EP called Beyond the Mirror's Edge. This American trio, signed to Grimoire Records, can crush and maim or lull and seduce - at will, mind you - and they showcase their talent with a mix of mesmerizing and barbaric guitar work. They also know how to have fun and let loose, as shown on their cover of Carbonized's "Lord of Damnation". Whatever your brand of extremity, Myopic are sure to entertain. by Troy Killjoy

Wild Throne - Blood Maker Listen at Bandcamp Coming in at just over 16 minutes, this three-track EP by Bellingham, WA's Wild Throne may be short but oh boy is it sweet! There is an undoubted Mastodon influence going on here but despite this, Wild Throne have come up with a sound which is entirely their own as Blood Maker's interesting blend of stoner rock & progressive metal is as energetic as it is memorable. While not without its flaws, there is a great deal of potential on display here, leaving little doubt that Wild Throne have a bright future ahead of them. by Nefarious
