Good ol' new Sigh. Sounds like there having just as much fun as they usually do making music. Despite I suppose my musical taste going through several evolutions over the year, something about Sigh still remains delectably unique.
Also not to knitpick or belittle anyone's opinions

Two things:
1- I hope the quality will be much better, otherwise it's gonna be another Scenes from Hell: great album, shoddy production
I was feeling like this was something from Scenes, with a bit of symphon-ish-ness from Hangman's and the diversity of In Somniphobia. That low fidelity gave Scenes a certain infernalness to the whole ordeal.

2- I really hope this still is a really early demo and the songs on the album are nothing like this. the only thing that I found interesting is the tonality of the instruments and nothing else. Sigh has been lucky to evade the trap that Shining was once in (from the sounds of it [songs from the new album], they are throwing themselves farther away from the generic sound they have wrapped themselves in)
Yeah after 9 albums and 21 years Sigh has definetly developed a certain "Sigh Sound". Not that its in every song, but quite a few songs have that trademarkable sound. Still stands out on its own without conforming to any specific genre which is a good thing in its own. TBH for a band which has been around since 1989, the fact that they still havn't gotten stale after all those years is impressive enough in its self (pending on love of Sigh of course)
