The Duskfall 18 hrs · Friends of the fallen! We are coming close to the end of 2019 and therefore we would like to give you some updates on what is going on with the band and also thank YOU for your patience in the waiting for the new album. We surely have the best fans in the universe and we can't wait to get back on the stages and play for you really soon! First of all. The album, it is coming! Mixing is scheduled for beginning of 2020 and we will put up some teasers of what to expect for you in the near future. Secondly, we have parted ways with Jakob Björnfot. We wish him all the best for the future and with his band Kvaen! We have been really lucky and have already found a great musician and a great guy to fill the spot for the lead guitars. Please welcome Patrik Forlund to The Duskfall! Below is a clip of him playing some old songs with his own touch on the leads

Posts: 206 Written by Litvin on 07.03.2026 at 10:03 On Facebook Mike explained why it took so long. Karlsson's death, then Mike's brother Jannes, then his wife's diagnosis of cancer. Then some more deaths in the family. It's amazing he had the strength to finish the album. And yes, the album is powerful. There are some nice touches in the title track, the brilliant "As our days...". I've only listened to it once, but I don't know if it will turn out to be (for me) their best one.

But starting tomorrow, I'm going to have a marathon with this album to soak it in. But after these few listens, it's definitely better than the last two.

A pretty solid comeback, a decent melodeath album with the classic Gothenburg sound of old. Reminds me of how In Flames and Dark Tranquillity once were

Good melodic death metal. Its production reminds me of the Gothenburg sound of the 90s. It has some good moments, making it a solid album.
