That's kinda sad if you're unable to separate music and personal matters of musicians. You're probably missing lots off great music then. Also, how do you know he's guilty? For example his bandmate Erik Nelson is on his side in this.

I'm kinda agree with you, also i listen only gentle and polite music. If one member of an band do something i don't like, i don't like his music and in reverse. More they are altruist, engaged for the good and against the evil, more i like them.
And if i don't know anything of the band's members, for security y don't listen them.

The only decent reply to Batlord666 that can promote some meaningful dialogue was the one by the user Stormm. The rest of you who replied had better tone down the sarcasm. It is not nice, it is unnecessary, and it is borderline unacceptable.

Sounds good, I hope it happens. We need some humanity injected into these conversations from all sides. And maybe, maaaybe, people will learn to dissociate musicians from their music. If all wrongdoings were made public, every successful band in the world would be ruined for people who can't separate the artist from the art.

I can separate art from the artist to an extent. But there's always in the back of my mind, that I'd rather listen to something made by someone who isn't a known shitty person. I don't know Dave is guilty, I just know the posts and videos his wife made public. I take it there's a reason the other two members quit and never looked back like Erik Nelson did. If others can effectively separate art from the artist, I hold no ill will.

For me it helped a great deal to understand every abuse takes 2. One to do it, one to enable it. Morally and ethically there might be one victim and one abuser, but in reality both people are victims or were before and they just re-enact. The other two guys might be in the very same boat you are.

That damn cancel culture preventing people from peacefully beating their wives, people are so sensitive nowadays

So many judges around ordinary folks. Presumption of innocence is practically nonexistent these days. Whatever. Looking forward to next album. Hope it will not be postponed due to those difficulties.

The problem begins when social media becomes the new court. It's as simple as that. At the same time, everyone is entitled to their opinion, and they are free to choose to ignore a band if they feel that views or actions of their members do not sit well with them. I personally choose to neither condemn nor acquit anyone with social media posts being the sole evidence and especially when only one side has been heard, and there is no legal action known to have been taken. And, to be honest, I don't care. I am not a judge and never wanted to be one.

Finally, no one is forcing you to either listen to Vektor or to not listen to Vektor.

I mean, I'm not commenting on whether they should or should not sign Vektor. It just looks odd when such a huge company makes one decision by day and then reverts it by night.

This is pathetic. Someone having their life ruined over allegations from a vindictive ex with a financial incentive to do so. I don't know if these things are true, and neither do the ones calling for his demise. All I know is that a legitimately inspired artist is being silenced for throwing a pillow and it makes me sick.
