Metal Church confirmed via Facebook that their former drummer Kirk Arrington has died at the age of 61. No cause of death was confirmed, but according to the band, Arrington had health issues. Arrington joined Metal Church in 1982, and he would play on seven albums with the band before departing in 2006, reportedly for health reasons.

In a post on Facebook, the band wrote: "We just received the sad news, Kirk Arrington passed away this morning due to health issues. RIP in brother! See you on the other side...
