Imagine you were on a date and the other person saw you with the Weightless CD and asked you what it sounds like. Most people wouldn't describe it as make-out music, however tempting that would be in that situation. I think the music of this US trio is better described as musical gymnastics. If that is a good aphrodisiac or not, that depends on whether you say it with a sexy face or not.

You mean you're looking for a version with vocals? I don't think that exists.

I know, I know. It's cool that they don't have vocalist - there's no vocal that can handle it.

I don't think anyone really responded to the bassist question at the start of the topic. This is a three piece band and from what I saw live, Tosin Abasi (lead) and the "bass player" both use 8 string guitars. It's interesting to see two musicians with that type of range playing at once.

And to the other poster about seeing them live...my buddy will not listen to the CD because no vocals, he said it was one of the best shows he's seen and I agree. Even with a bit of minor equipment failure they were cool about it and kept the crowd in check.

Here are the "non-instrumental" versions of two songs, as requested 4 years ago.

Probably with more energy than the debut, but still like the most the debut. Nonetheless, another excellent release from them.
