Bølzer - Aura [EP]

Ahh this sounds even better on vinyl. Really warm yet gritty. Absolutely phenomenal release

Seeing them at Til Dovre Faller in september. Can't wait! The played there last year as well, but I was attending Høstsabbat in Oslo instead.

Why was the album page for Soma removed? Just because the album was delayed doesn't mean it's been cancelled.

The band recently (March 28th) posted this on their Facebook page:
"The release of 'Soma' will unfortunately be delayed by a number of weeks. But fret not, have our assurances that she will sound and look that much better.
An upload of the first song 'Steppes' will also be made for you as soon as we receive the final master.
Godspeed!!!"

Looks like someone didn't do their research.

Why ? Sound was bad ?

When I saw them it was an epic experience. Not as massive sounding as on cd as they are only two, but they nailed each note and the sound setting was rather good-very good. Atmosphere wise was so mystic with very dark red and blue lights, massive amount fog and incense and all those candles/animal bones... Vocalist/guitars dude is very imposing too, much presence on stage.

Feh, I must be missing something. Nothing at all memorable or exciting.

Well, Marcel would call us fanboys but Che and I loved their set. Chaotic shit with all the weird sounding riffs and the howling vocals were great.

I haven't seen Bolzer live, but of my friends that saw them play live, none were disappointed.

I eevn remember you thinking Coroner were great when they were quite bad with loads of mistakes, so that goes to show

It's not a problem enjoying oneself at shows but it is saying that something was good or great when it clearly wasn't. And B"olzer were definitly not good at all at Roadburn.

And ok, let's say they were bad... Give me some credit, man. It's not like I go to shows as often as you (plus the time I've been around "in the scene" compared to your time).
Maybe when I'm an old fuck I'll be all "nah this sucked" just like you!

But seriously I have no idea why Marcel has complaints about their live performance, I think as long as a band like Bplzer can perform live, it's pretty enough and cool.

By them being bad I am referring to first of all them starting ten minutes late due to an excesively long line check/sound check and still sounding crap after that and them making quite a lot of sloppy to big mistakes.

I can get behind the 10 minutes part of your comment. It was annoying.
Terra Tenebrosa was even worse. 20 minutes late and playing only a bit more than half an hour.

Their new EP is good but sweet bejesus, the awesomeness of that riff on track 2 on this one destroyed my brain immediately after I heard it.

Yeah their new EP is great, but it isn't quite as good as Aura. I love that second track as well

I owe Bolzer an apology. This warmed up to me big time.

It's cool to me, I'm not a fan (generally) of longer albums. The only EP thing pretty much guarentees all killer no filler.
