However, English has butchered the original pronunciation.....99 out of 100 Irishmen are not able to speak Irish without English accent....and as you know, English speakers are unable to produce the sounds of other languages.....they'd say "CAN" instead of "ceann" just like they say "yellow blue bus" instead of "я люблю вас"....sorry for OT
