Formed in 1968, Bristish rockers Led Zeppelin didnt stick with just the traditional 'rock' theme that was being created around this era, they brought in other different musical elements including blues, reggae, soul, funk, Celtic, Indian, Arabic, and folk. The guitar works of Jimmy Page are some of my favourites and hes possibably one of my all time favourite guitarists for his originality and talent he does with the instument.
The death of drummer John Bonham in 1980 lead to an agrement for the band to disband after almost 25 years of solid original musical and artistic achievement and success, and have reported to have sold more the 300 million albums world wide... And one of the most important and influential bands in history to genres of rock and also metal.
So, whats you favourite albums/songs, what you like/dislike about them, the band members other band projects, etc. Open

What really pissed me off though was ALL those celebs attending the gig, people like Marily Manson, Paris Hilton, Oasis etc. why the hell did they get precendece over other people?

I cant even imagine how much floor tickets for that show would set somebody back. But hey, I guess these are just my crazy ideas. For example, as much as I hate Blink 182, they had one tour (or a few sets?) where they only charged $1, just so everyone could make it, which I thought was a really cool thing to do.

But what the hell do I know about business.

I hope so cause the closest thing to seeing Led Zeppelin live for me was in 1994 or 1995 when I saw Page & Plant on the back of the No Quarter: Jimmy Page & Robert Plant Unledded tour, and that concert was great. Plant actually sounding good there (unlike last Monday)

My husbands friend got to go to London and see Led Zeppelin. Now he is all jealous. Ha! He said if they come to the US- we have to get tickets. I haven't heard that yet...

heard a bootleg of their recent gig this weekend, and damn. they still sound very good. Bonham sucks, though

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I don't like the idea of a tour, mostly because of reasons previously said, getting to see them is going to be limited to upper class yuppies who otherwise on a daily basis look down there noses at guys with long hair sporting there Zep t-shirts which are worn out beyond belief. But I guess I can't narrow that down to this concert alone, I had these same feelings when the Rolling Stones had there graves dug up and started touring again.

but still looks and sounds good:) But nothing changes my view on zeplin's greatest members jimmy page and especially bonham.This great band can not go on without bonham.And the only one who can fill his absence is his son.Zeplin's sound was so different for newly rock bands but still one of the best rock bands in the world

does anybody know the Sean Kingston song? it's a cover of D'yer M'aker from Zeppelin, and i don't know about you but i am not surprised at all for hearing a raggae/hip hop cover of it. imo they had it coming, though that guy should've named it D'yer M'aker too.

Led Zeppelin's 4th album holds a special place in my heart for being the first album I ever owned. I have it on vinyl, tape, and 2 on cd (one remastered, one not), and I'm only in 10th grade. The other one is Farewell to Kings by Rush, but this IS the Zeppelin Topic. My favorite songs from them are Whole Lotta Love, and Communication Breakdown.
