And the glorious black metal/hip hop project Uratsakidogi also released another full this year.

As awesome as it is, I had the impression I was liking the first one better, as the songs here seem to be more like horrorcore than genuine black metal/hip hop fusion. Until they started mixing reggae on it, and then I shut my mouth.

New song from the great Moon (AUS). The Xasthur formula continues to be perfected.



And the new album from Auld Ridge is a very nice piece of Melodic Black Metal ferocity.

New brilliant album from Kataxu.

Caverne delivers what might be his final album. If that's the case then he released a worthy sendoff.

I'm curious to know if the guy enjoyed old Agalloch because this album in some parts reminds me of the aforementioned band.

New Mooncitadel dosage to give you a breath of fresh air amongst the staff's front page oppression.

A concept album based upon Love's The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath.

Best demo of the year until now.

Buddhism themed, sludgy, psychedelic post metal from Russia. Each of these tags just screams that I would hate it, but the embedding of doomy passages and ethnic elements into this massive wall of sound totally grabbed me by the balls. If this won't find any fans here then I really don't know.

An EP is not really much, but boy am I glad to hear new stuff released by the glorious White Ward. The debut was one of my fav albums of 2019 back then.

Dark Watcher has this new EP. It's more to the agressive side of black rather than atmo but still really good country black metal fusion.

This sounds really good, I'm liking the guitar tone and riffs in particular, it sounds proper old school black metal.

Haha yeah, I'm as surprised as you are Definitely not my kind of stuff I usually listen to. Maybe that's why I find it to be super catchy, memorable and original - even though there is nothing groundbreaking here lol. But the mix of genres sounds fresh and fun.

Icelandic funeral doom.
Needless to say, this is not your average funeral doom. After all, it's from Iceland.

Two-man band progressive black metal from my country
One of them turns out to be Caio Lemos (from Kaatayra, Brii)

It's raw and murky, more focused on composition than on atmosphere, but you can still hear Caio's atmospheric bm influence here.
