I don't think kids in Iraq would give much of a shit if Dave Mustaine gave them toys, not that I would blame them. The kids in Iraq are stuck in a country suffering from egonomic colapse, they have it a lot worse then some homeless kids in California. And there is also the generation gap, I doubt a single kid in Irag would know the name Megadeth let alone who Dave Mustaine is. Weather Dave Mustaine would wan't to try doing a benefit campeign in Iraq is questionable though.

Buddy, I know Megadeth, and yes, I won't deny that united Abominations is a good album, and neither is TSHF for that matter, and yes, they have surpassed metallica in the spirit of staying true to their metal roots, and once more, yes, I agree that metallica's new album won't do shit to help redeem them either. But, even if United Abominations is a good album, with great leads and solo's, there's never gonna be another album like "Rust in Peace" or "Peace Sells" ever again. The days of legend are gone, and now they live in an age where Dave is still writing good music, and yes, has redeemed himself from the days of "risk" but just don't play shit as good as Holy Wars anymore. That's all I was getting at. These new guys aren't Chris or Marty, and they never will be.

IMO United Abominations has some of the most boring and flat solos I've ever heard. Where's the emotions Megadeth could summon forth with their old solos? Why do I even care, they haven't done a good album since '94. Anyways, gonna see them live this Wednesday, it'll be fun!

Im really excited to see how Chris Broderick will sound, I wasn't a very big fan of Glen Drovers solos but otherwise I did enjoy United Abominations. Perhaps Broderick will step this up?

Yeah, I understand. It's an acquired taste. He's definitely older now though, and it's a lot tougher to hit those notes he once did. I respect the guy for singing at least, and not just mindless screaming. (Not that that's bad Mr. Araya, I love it.)

Saw Megadeth last night, thinking of doing a CR. All I can say right now is that it was HEAVY!!! PM if you wanna know the setlist.

For me its not a matter of sounding the same after 20 years, or who is still 'Heavy Metal' and who isn't terrible music is terrible music, even if your not talking in relativity to early albums, Christ Illusion and God Hates Us All were still trach. UA kicks ass though.
