The end of the match was pretty dramatic though, since referee seemed to have wanted Uruguay to score for a tie
That was because Van Bommel ate two minutes pretending an injury in a foul that he commited...
He should have stayed three minutes down, it would give us more time...

I'm happy for finally taking the WC back to Europe but let's acknowledge Uruguay's efforts in this World Cup.
The referee was nuts again, allowing Van Bommel's toughness, allowing an offside goal and taking two extra minutes of injury time.

And Spain will have a handful of work to do tomorrow in order to defeat the team that played the best football this year Germany
don't know if Spain's coach is a match to Germany's mastermind

To be fair, that offside was barely noticeable, considering it was only Van Persie's foot that put him offside.

This is true, the offside was marginal. Its hardly in the same league as the Argentine (clearly miles offside) first goal that was allowed against Mexico!
I think the ref was just (quite rightly IMO) using his disgression as far as adding more time to the added on time goes. I actually thought the added on time was less than it should have been in the first place, so the ref definitely did the right thing in my view. For sure, the Dutch would have been raging if Uruguay had got a 3rd goal due to the ref doing that, but it wouldnt have made what he did any less right. I thought there should have been 5 minutes added on time, and was shocked when only 3 minutes came up. lol

What? I wasnt talking about Argentine referees. I was talking about the shambolic decision to allow Argentina's first goal against Mexico in this World Cup when it was miles offside. lol
In the match last night, technically, Van Persie may have been offside, but you can definitely forgive the linesman missing that one.

Anything less than Germany pwning Spain would be a miracle.
Seriously? Spain are awesome. But then again, I'm sure we all thought Argentina would give Germany a hard time...
Argentina's only strength was their offense. Germany's defense knew how to disarm Messi and company and exploit Argentina's weaknesses, i.e. a deficit in support for their own defense and a coach who had no idea how to come up with counter-tactics. Spain however doesn't have any apparent weakness and Germany's team is too balanced to go for a Swiss tactic. Spain will definitely give us a harder time than England or Argentina.
Actually, Argentina's formation was somehow ''fantasy'' for allowing so much freedom to it's attackers, releasing them from any responsability in marking and leaving only creation. So Maradona (I mean his technical committee) have put a line of four defenders and the ''watchdog'' Mascherano ALONE in front of them.
It works pretty well against teams with no offensive power, but against Germany it was an error not to put Verón to share the midfield marking responsability (and some more accurate pass than Mascherano -_-' ). The game was suppose to be equilibrated, but the goal taken early at 3' expose all the technical deficiency of Argentina... another midfielder would probably made the difference.
Spain sounds like it's gonna be an easier adversary... too much passing and attemptive to a higher percentage of ball possession, and too little objectivity to score... not to mention that they allowed counter-attacks ALL THE TIME. The score will probably not have 4 goals for Germany again, but the game will be much easier than the two previous seemed to be.
Besides.. destiny wants Germany:
I disagree about Argentina only being strong in attack. Their two CB are really good players and Mascherano is one of the best defensive midfielders in the world IMO, but of course like all great players he needs the right support around him and Maradona isn't the greatest tactician haha.
Germany have got their tactics spot on for every game. I was reading a quote from Joachim Low about when they played England and he basically said he knew we'd be piss poor in the centre of midfield and ozil and the rest could just play through us... and they did. Spain seem to want to pass it about TOO much. Short little passes up to the edge of the box and then they want to keep passing until they pass it into the net, they never just get people into the box and cross it in. Unless Spain vary their attacking then I think Germany will shut them down easily.
I also think Germany are a much better balanced team. Ozil has been one of the best players at this world cup, yet he hardly had any influence in the last game and they still won with ease. The other teams really struggle when their star players arn't doing so well. Spain look great but without Torres on form then they really have a hard time just getting the ball in the back of the net.

and besides Maradona before WC test about 50 players wfrom Argentinian clubs and thay ahve many many reserves and good leage to so there always possible find supitudes and still even best play in Europe Arg whit only Arg leage players could play well and winn(not WC, but smaller games

At the time there were more South American teams in than any other continent.

Even then, that was only/mostly because there were three all-European second rounds - inevitably kicking out three European countries.

Germany simply had no power to react after Puyol's (!?!?) goal. Perhaps now the over young age average made difference...
But it is amazing how the offensive power decrease without Müller.. I mean... I know he was fundamental, but his abscence cause more damage than expected, there was simply no one to substitute him well. Torchowski has no offensive features at all... -_-
Anyway... new champion on the horizon.

Sapin 1-0 Germany
Spain deserve win, thay play much better, in all positions, and Germans criate only fiew chances and one dangerouse what Casilias saved, does IM only one who think Arne Friedrich was best Ger defender and maybe best in tournament?
Ger only played in last 5 min, and in last 10 ther ecould be 2-0 , realy it was Spanish day because from begining I didnt saw how Ger can win, only good defense is why there 1-0 not more and maybe 4-0 againts Argentina was reason why thay didnt play well
I think Ger whit this team when thay be more older can try win next WC or EC
3th place final
Uruguay - Germany 3-0
It doesnt metter, Ger go for gold all knows it, Uru play whit thought reach quorters , since non expected, but now thay can play, but it doesnt metter, because probobly players be nervouse, if its be tommrow I dunno what woold heppen
1th
Spain vs Ned
we have ne W champ
Its be hard game, Ger play same like Ned, and you saw what hepen, I dont wanna make prognoses, maybe there be pens needet like last yera, but I even dunno who deserve it more, Ned from historical, Spain because of game,

Germany simply played nothing for 75 minutes, waiting for miracle maybe?
there was clear tactical orders - "we have to play total defense"...but goddamn! team with best offensive power playing total defense against team with scoring average 1 goal pro match?
