Very fitting for this to be the Blut Aus Nord album to have "Ethereal" in its name.

Always stoked for a new BaN. That cover makes me think we're getting a more melodic or ambient album this round, but who knows? Either way I'm here for all of it.

The font and the color palette of the cover art instantly made me think of the Alien franchise (feels like that was an intentional nod), so I’m expecting BAN to remain spacey but even more menacing.
As if instead of the vagueness of the Lovecraftian horror, we’ll have to deal with something more concrete but no less terrifying.
On a side-note, it’s amazing how the band taught us to expect the unexpected, and has us guessing at the new direction of their sound till the very end. Can't wait!

When BAN release a new album it always peaks my interest, they've always been a hit and miss kinda band but one that genuinely sounds unlike any other. It seems they've gone back to their more melodic and cosmic side here rather than continuing the disturbingly dissonant thing they had going on in their last few albums.

I actually quite like it, not sure if I prefer it to what they've done recently though, it's just a different approach. It reminds me a lot of the Memoria Vetusta trilogy whilst also continuing from Hallucinogen, once again it it has a majestic and highly immersive atmosphere, only this time it's quite uplifting and has an ethereal touch in places. I wasn't sure about the cleans at first but now they're beginning to grow on me.

Nice atmosphere and overall a good album but after a few listens I fail to identify any great songs or outstanding moments that I would like to get back to. So in regards to the high expectations I always have for the new BAN album, a slight disappointment.

Definitely a more melodic one - I wasn't especially feeling it with the first song or two, but it picks up for me after that, track 4 is enjoyable atmo-black

There's a few quality moments scattered here and there but nothing particularly stands out for me except track 4. I'd say that's definitely the highlight for me as well.

"The Fall Opens The Sky" is also my pick for best track. This album is one of my favourites by BaN, for sure.

I always considered Blut Aus Nord's albums as music to listen as a whole and not as individual tracks. In this sense, I feel the album is doing its job quite well.

I mean I usually mix and jump around tracks and bands when I'm doing stuff like washing the dishes, but I can see myself listening to a whole BAN album when I'm doing things.

I like some of their stuff and can respect the talent that goes into their work but I always feel like I’m missing something. The last 5 or so releases from this band have sounded good but are totally forgettable and this one is in the same category for me. I do not see the hype of this band at this point.

This is one of my favorite albums from them and maybe my favorite album I've heard this year. Pleasantly surprised.

I love when BaN focuses more on their melodic side and the writing here sounds a bit more deliberate than usual. Their music is so different though, like it's more about the overall sound textures rather than any specific part of a song. Many of their albums create hauntingly vivid images in my mind and I enjoy getting lost in this atmosphere specifically because there's something so mysterious about it. Tracks 3 and 7 stood out to me the most but I found plenty to enjoy from every song.

It's definitely different from the previous album. This one is more melodic and same style as "Hallucinogen", while previous one was more eerie & ominous.
