Reading between the lines, it sounds a lot less like a shared mystical devotion to Bathory, as Nergal wants to frame it, and more like one guy politely getting told to bugger off, and still being a little butthurt about it.

While I appreciate Bathory's gigantic influence on extreme metal, I've never held his earliest albums in high regard. This song is exactly that - influential, but midrange at best. As midrange as most of Behemoth's input for the last 10-ish years. So it's only logical that Nergal picked this particular song to cover.

The original song is one of the most sinister and frightening songs ever recorded. This version of it is a joke.
