Watched it yesterday too, and couldn't help myself laughing a bit when the first thing Varg does is tell all over again his side of the Euronymous murder as if he was still trying to convince someone he was inocent  Hmmmmm otherwise, well not much to say. Basically him and his wife telling their side of the story when they recently got arrested. Which isn't a bad thing considering how clumsy the autorities were. The "survival" part at the end was quite fun and interesting.

The thing could be off from him Varg is that he is racist hating black negroid ppl. Im asian liking his music, but racism should be ended cuz its stupid. Ive met bunch of black ppl in usa, they are no different to white in terms of both physical strength emotion quality and even intellectual brain. One thing in americs black ppl are even stronger physically than whites.

Some sources didn't got the memo that Varg's screaming is not due the depression but sue to he being a shit singer.  We all heard his latter work - he can hum, and maybe sing a lullaby but he cannot sing for shit. So, I guess he had 2 options in early 90s: try to imitate Bathory or imitate Mayhem and well he chose the latter - which is fair since most of Norwegian bands chose the same. To be fair Varg would be prime candidate for discussion on "Can we separate art and the artist" so...

I haven't listened to Burzum for a while but if I remember correctly, they were popping up in my Spotify recommendations a few years ago in winter, maybe even last year. Winter is pretty much here now with them long dark nights and Dunkelheit is quite atmospheric. I much prefer Ulver though.

The only copies that existed before that were a few hand-labeled TDK and Maxell tapes with a xeroxed cover that Varg and Tomas "Samoth" Haugen personally handed out to close friends and to two or three labels. The title "Aske" does not even appear on that tape, but the tracklists are identical. Only a few copies of the Inn I Drømmens Slott cassette survived the 1990s and even photos of it are rare nowadays. Are you absolutely sure you own one of those lost tapes from 1992? Say what you want but I have not seen more comprehensive collection of anything related to a band than Burzum's official site. It is like a goddamn library of anything remotely mentioning Varg (sorry Louis).In multiple languages too.
