Korn's latest magnum opus is an ugly ear-sore that is not only almost completely devoid of merit but also reeks of true evil. In another reality, Korn III: Remember Who You Are could pass as a compilation of out-takes from the Korn and Life Is Peachy sessions that didn't make the cut. That is, only if the tracks here were not only sub-par but also performed with zero conviction. This album is sub-par in general, but what gets me the most is how lackluster the lyrics are.

Imo this is a slight improvement from their last album, it's starting to sound like Korn of old, there is alot of angryness back in their lyrics, and his vocals are a slight improvement. The production style is back to their raw best. It sounds like a teenage garage band from the 90's, I like the raw unfiltered sound the guitars make, but I'm sorry the drumming sounds crap, it sounds like they are hitting makeshift drums made from plastic lids. The major downside is again the uninspiring songwriting, no songs really grab my attention at all, no interesting riffs, very few choruses that take my liking, and a lack of melody, and the instrumentation is mostly very bland. It's between "The Past" and "Never Around" for my favourite song on the album, which even they are both below par.

I don't consider myself a fan of Korn's newer material ("newer" meaning anything after Ray Luzier joined the band), especially this album. However, I have found the drums on 'Pop A Pill' to actually be pretty good. That is my only highlight from this album. I miss old Korn.
