Luca Turilli - Prophet Of The Last Eclipse

Wow...it is long time when i listened to this for the first time and i didnt find it that good those times, but today i bought original and it sounds surprisingly nice for me...maybe even better how King Of The Nordic Twilight

This album is for me the best in its genre I've ever heard. Even better than all of Rhapsody (of Fire)'s albums put together! The epic symphonic music mixed with space-themed sounds really did it for me. Demonheart and Prophet Of The Last Eclipse are excellent pieces of music/art! Zaephir Skies' Theme is a beatiful instrumental track that I've listened to countless of times to calm my mind.

This album is so great, that I was devastated when I found out my CD player left a huge scratch on my ltd edition (35.000 worldwide) copy which made it skip parts. Luckily I found another such copy on amazon and bought it. I'm thinking of trying to repair the other CD and use that to listen, so I don't have to touch the other copy. That's how much I cherish this album.

Opens very strongly, peaks at "Demonheart", then falls flat on its arse during the 12-minute climax thanks to endless, aimless passages of keyboard. Not shit, though.

This is an OVERWHELMING ONE indeed! The best thing Luca has released ever. Power, melody and futurust sound at its best.

Haha - I like it! And totally agree. This blew me away when I first heard it and I listened to it constantly. I still think it’s a fantastic album and agree, one of the best in the genre. Olaf vocals are excellent too. Sadly the follow up didn’t come close.
