This is actually a very enjoyable album, although it is a shame that Danzig's voice is so bad nowadays...

Black Mass and the last three songs are good, but the rest is mediocre to terrible. Angel Blake is a stupid, stupid song.

It took me a very very long time to truly appreciate this album, as I'm mostly crazy about the first 4 Danzig albums above all. But it really is enjoyable, it's probably his "heaviest" release. Even though his voice isn't what it used to be, it's still better than alot of vocalists nowadays.

Danzig rules, I've seen him live 5 times, and each time he sings a song live off this album, it just kills. I mean the production quality on his voice for this album was just ballz. And he's gotten back in shape and started doing vox classes, so he is just killing it again!

Not an easy album to like for all the well aired reasons. But there are some hidden gems in here that reward perseverance. The opening track Black Mass, Liberskull, I Luciferi, Naked Witch, Coldest Sun to be specific. Dead Inside isn’t bad either. But yes his voice isn’t the strongest on this one, the release itself was sandwiched in his late period stylistic industrial meandering, and to be honest, whatever good things you can say about it it’s still only ever going to rank in the bottom half of his discography by any measure (or at least mine!).
