That's from a documentary called Jesus Camp. What's depicted in that film is far scarier than any horror film I've ever seen.

I've nothing against Christianity (or any faith) in general, just the radical fringes. The nutjobs you find there would just find other reasons for perpetuating extremist agendas (nationalism, environmentalism, socialism, etc.) if they didn't have a religion to hang it on. The problem isn't religion, it's people with extremist natures. If we eradicated religion tomorrow, every one of these people would find some other ideology to hinge their fanaticism on.

PS: to correct a tiny mistake in viggo's words... its not tha mosque with the golden dome they want destructed.. its the mosque right opposite to it ... but the media keeps portraying the golden dome mosque as the important one to muslims so that when the other one is destructed.. no one would suspect a thing.
you're confusing "Al-Aqsa Mosque" with "Dome of the Rock" Mosque. the first one being the targeted mosque.. that is claimed to be built above the ruins of the temple of solomon .. and that has hundreds of 'excavation' tunnels beneath it so that the slightest earthquake in the area would destroy it and 'they' appear like they had nothing to do with it.

I've only seen clips and read Jesus Camp's plot, but it is indeed very disturbing.

The good news is Fischer closed that dreaded summer camp after all the negative reactions from people who saw the film (they began vandalizing the camp, etc.) I doubt the kids will change, since their parents are fanatics as well, from what I remember. But hell, if they sent them there in the first place...

Thanks for clearing it for me... the golden cupola mosque is just more prominent... But my bad... I've never visited the town... in fact, I have... but as الطائر ابن لا أحد when I was on my Jerusalem mission and jumped and ran on the roof of that golden dome...

Concerning the vatican and harry potter, i believe that they actually like the magic related stuff. The "hill of the mages" -vaticanus has no problems with potter films!

Well, the last book must have been inspired by the devil, because it was horrible. Then again, maybe it was inspired by George Lucas.

I havent read HP books and at first i resisted to all signs of "Potter-mania"...but then they played the first movie in TV and i have realized this is exactly type of "easy" entertainment that fits to me

btw. Devil does only "good" things, because he needs to attract as much followers as possible - like heavy metal

Harry Potter books are well written...the prose drags you into it...it was ruined when made into a movie...Christianity only bad mouths the Devil and hell because Christians are jealous of how cool and how much better it all is...

For everyone who is freaking out over the Jesus Camp video, keep in mind that most Christians were horrified when that movie came out. It took me a whole week to make it through that film, it wrecked me pretty hard. These are the sort of things I work so hard to stop from happening.

It's called Peter's cross because St. Peter was crucified head downwards. He asked it for he didn't feel worthy enough to die head upwards...
On the other hand, St. Andreas was crucified on a large X letter, therefore the X-shaped cross is called the Andreas cross...
I think it was discovered by the new satanic vibe and clubs in the 20th century and hence found its way to Hot Topic online stores and now adorns the outfits of Goth chicks.

Of course... haven't even said this before? Church has after all been a secular institution for a long time already. It was known that in France before the Revolution the high-category holy men had the right to eff any woman and I believe quite a number of ladies were willing to become their mistresses because these men were effing rich and politically powerful as hell...

People rarely think of the poor simple priests who were actually Christian and who were later brutally killed by the bringers of "freedom" as revenge for the "corruption of the church"...

Being a Christian is not bout being subscribed to something or belonging to a club or following some rules "when to sacrifice a lamb/when to sacrifice a cow/when to clean yer house etc..."

It's bout remembering Christ and what He said and wished people would be like... it's about remembering that people are weak and easily affected and controlled by evil. People are prone to act like super cunts and hurt others. He was nailed to a cross to show how eventually being good and virtuous and loving will show real strength and will take one closer to God than being a hateful bitchy violent aggressive greedy selfish super cunt...

so anyone can choose between "I think people should love each other and forgive each other and be friends." and "That dude annoys me. I hate him and wish to crush his skull with a sledgehammer."

There are a lot of people who call themselves "christians" who behave in ways that are very un-christian if you ask me.... lol

I believe that if only people who followed Christ's example could be called christian, more than half the christians in the world wouldnt be classed as that. Many people are "born" into a religion, and are basically labelled "christian", "muslim" or whatever purely because they were born into religious families.

The godfather of my bro's sister is a priest and in a sermon he said that some religious people have an occupational disease... that disease is being arrogant and nosy because "I'm Christian! I am so much better than others! I can do anything!". That is a bad sign because it shows that the person labels himself under some group in order to boost his ego and give him the excuse to treat other people badly... And that's a step closer towards religious nazism... because of that Christ was nailed to the cross because He pointed out how wrong it is... And I bet if Christ appeared in the world today, many "Christians" would be the first ones to slaughter Him in a brutal way...

You all talk about christianity and church, but you're not italian and you can't know that here the church talks about politic things all the days! this is not the aim of them!

I know how things are in Italy. Church and politics are a bad combo... Politics is usually a dark and nasty field filled with lots of dirty secrets and church shouldn't be corrupted by it... One of the benefits of Eastern Church, for instance, is the fact that it was a lot less influenced and tied with politics than the Western Church which has been in the centre of it along with political and ideological nasty "culture clubs" for a long time... Even here I usually avoid going to the main church because I know it has dubious ties with some "political" entities plus I know there's quite a lot of "professional religious" people there who go to church for showing off... the two more independent monastery chapels here offer much more cosy and friendly atmosphere than the bigger church...

Plus I guess you've heard the rumour that "Devil has lurked into the Catholic Church."
