That's an odd mentality. I see nothing about this band that should have them under "guilty pleasure" status, aside from their popularity and baffling inclusion in the metalcore scene. They're a quality alt-thrash band and always have been really.

Oh they are, legions of them. Although with a band like LoG, sometimes it's warranted. Not the kvlt points thing, but the hate.

Well I wish I had seen this a couple weeks ago. Lol. I just barely found out...shame on me I guess.

Got this album (legal) yesterday! And I have to say, it kicks ass! If this sets the bar for all the metal releases this year 2012 will be a awesome year to be a metalhead!
The songs are very LOG like and there are some lyrics that will be awesome to let the audience scream at concerts!

Randy even has some clean vocals in the first part of "Insurrection"
For all the LOG fans get the 2 disk edition, it comes with a live CD from the Wrath tour 2009-2010

... So, yeah, it's aggressive and all, but after 20 minutes of angry barks and thundering riffs it quickly gets tiresome and puts me in a *whatever-I-just-don't-fuckin-care* mood.

With the exception of one song that I hate because it sounds like a 'record company made us try and do something popular' track, the album overall is high-quality, straight-forward Lamb Of God. And, although I've moved to less-commercial forms of metal in recent years (strictly so), if you like this genre or brand of music and like Lamb Of God it's hard to say that this is anything short of another successful album by the band and it's done at a high level.

I'll certainly go see them live again (time #4), as the perform excellently live, it should be noted. Resolution is a very good album and the band is very good at what they do. I'm not sure how long Randy's vocals are going to hold up, lol. This record has some catchier stuff on it than Wrath did. Still, their 2nd-4th albums remain my favorite. Resolution is definitely a release worth getting if you are a fan of Lamb Of God and worth checking out even if you aren't.

Yeah, I can stand or even like it for just 4-5 songs, but then I get a bit *derp* and stop it.
If you manage to get through the whole record, well that's only good for you.

First listen imminent...massive expectations on this ablum.

It's like Wrath 2, so average...
The LOG we knew until Sacrament were a really special band. Now they seem to me, as just another american heavy metal band with a good drummer...
