I don't know what it is that attracts me more and more to Dying Fetus' sound, but it does a fucking good job of getting me hooked. This album in particular, whilst not the most varied, has unrelenting aggression and pummelling heaviness on every single track, and although some will pass this off as "just another DM album", it has naturally stood the test of time in its 14 years of existence. Not to praise the band too highly, but they certainly set the groundwork for excellent Death metal with 'Killing in Adrenaline'.

Very good album! Every song is brutal and catchy as fuck! I must say, this band really stands out and the instruments on each song are so technical w/brutal guttural vox that just make you want to sing/growl along while headbanging to the brutality of the drums/guitar crunching. Fucking amazing! \m/\m/

Whoever trades this album is a pussy, who obviously can't hang. This is a classic.

What's most striking about this record is the heavy guitar tone and bass, the drumming is also very skilfully done too despite their awful tin can sound, and yes there's some very technical guitarwork, and the vocals are brutal AF. But this album lacks that wow factor for me, for a start there's very little groove to it, and the songstructures are kind of messy with no real flow to them, and the songwriting is a wee bland. It's not bad but not on the same level as Destroy The Opposition imo.
