I was expecting something more like Kobra And The Lotus's debut. Bit disappointed, actually. Sound like heavy metal with some thrash influences. What would be the official genre here?

I don't think there is an "official" genre; it's one of those great mixes of melodic metals, classic metals, and some moderness. I interviewed the band and even got some varying answers there  Somtimes metal doesn't fit into any box and is just "awesome."

It's a fast-paced catchy power metal record with which every spin it's really getting better. "In Hell", "Forever" and "The Damned" stands out the best.
