52 minutes of raw, chaotic Black Metal from Iceland that is as haunting as it is hypnotizing. Fantastic songwriting, amazing atmosphere, great debut!

Really? This has probably one of my most favorite BM vocal works. A top 3 for sure.

Yeah I'm not saying they're no varied, or that they sound bad. I just think it needs a little crazy.

Seriously amazing album. This is what I imagine Hell to sound like. This is the soundtrack to the apocalypse. This is many great things.

Hoping there will be a sophomore album from these guys this year. So many stunning debut albums from Icelandic black metal bands and we've yet to get any follow-ups.

Killer album, but for some reason the booklet doesn't fit its gap in my digipak. I tried to force it into and have caused a minor damage :'(

Such a ferocious, sinisterly atmospheric album with some impressive harsh vocals and striking melodies, there's even a psychedelic touch at times. One of the finest albums from the Icelandic BM scene I'd say, it makes the ideal soundtrack for the apocalypse.

The Icelandic black metal scene really was something special. Shame it seems to be a flash in the pan.

All good things come to an end. New Martröð scratched that itch.

Yes Martröð released a great one this year, it gave me the incentive to delve back into the Icelandic BM scene. I'm not quite sure why many of these band's have either disbanded after a short lived career, or have waited so long to release new material. Ultimately, it's quality over quantity that matters, and I guess that's what makes this scene so special.
