Words Of Farewell - Unveil New Album Cover Art And Trailer


German metallers Words Of Farewell have revealed the artwork that will grace their new opus which will follow the acclaimed debut Immersion. The melodic death metallers also revealed that the new album is called The Black Wild Yonder. You can take a look at the cover below and expect it to drop via AFM Records on the 28th of February in Europe and March 4th in the USA.

Good news, their debut showed a lot of promise. Looking forward to this. Based on the artwork, I'm expecting something more refined in terms of song writing as well, despite those obviously tattered garments she's wearing.

Haven't heard of these guys before. They sound like they might follow in the footsteps of 'new wave of fresh and interesting melodic death metal' alongside Omnium Gatherum and Be'lakor, even though the post-hardcore/groove-influenced rhythms are putting me off a little bit.

This is the part where someone comes and reprimands me for suggesting that melodic death metal can be fresh and interesting.

Let them reprimand, it won't stop us from enjoying the likes of OG and Be'lakor.

As for these guys, for me their debut was unoriginal and yet somehow fresh and interesting, I hope they maintain this odd contrast and the trailer does sound promising.
