After announcing that they were recording a new album, Arkan now confirm its title and release date. The successor to Salam, and the group's third album, will be called Sofia and has been scheduled for a May 23rd release (May 27th in North America) on Season Of Mist.

Vocalist Sarah Layssac commented on the new album's title: "The album deals with a personal ordeal one of the members of Arkan had to go through. From my point of view, Sofia has multiple meanings. From pain to revolution, the struggles end with the quietness of a heartbeat and Sofia slides from sadness to peace. While Salam was an open-minded concept-album, Sofia deals more with the sad side of our histories."

The album cover artwork and tracklist will be unveiled soon.
