Even though I've known this band for a decade or so, I've never actually bothered to listen to their albums until lately. As some of the song titles already suggest, this is more like a video game soundtrack style pop mixed with mainstream power metal. They have also made actual video game soundtracks, and from what I have heard, they're really good. I don't think many hardcore metalheads will ever get into this though, but what I heard I really enjoyed.

Really catchy with crystal clear production and a little tinge of dark mood. Wouldn't call this power metal at all, it might scare power metal haters off and they might not check it and can pump up power metal fans only to disappoint them afterwards.

To me it sounds modern, alternative with a hint of industrial. Industrial Power Metal? I guess not...
