I'm disappointed with this. I will give it more listenings for sure but it just doesn't measure up to what I read/heard from most people who are into sludge. At some points it just doesn't get anywhere. It's still a nice packet of painfully slow sludge but some variety and tempo changes would have helped a lot.

Probably my favourite sludge album of its type I find the vocal style to be even more pain-drenched than that of Khanate I think.

Fuck off and enjoy my still standing 7. In any case it has been a while since I heard a note of this album. I can't say I was that interested in revisiting it. It's not rare that I bump up albums after a while if it happened to be a hard one to get into... But to a 9? Nah... 8 at most but it doesn't deserve a 9 to me.
