Additional info
Through Kauan's growth and experimentation, its sound and production has vastly improved since its humble beginnings as a band of teenagers in remote Chelyabinsk, Russia.

It was decided while in between labels to privately crowdfund the professional recording of a collection of re-arranged tracks from the band's early years. The band re-recorded six of the main tracks from the albums "Lumikuuro" and "Tietäjän Laulu" in addition to the recording of a brand new song called "Unsoi."

The release was intended only for a core group of 53 individuals, but the demand for the release was too high. It is now being presented in a limited run of high-quality digipack editions with official artwork. It has been named for official release as "Muistumia," which translates to "Reminiscences."

If this is supposed to be better than Pirut, which I enjoyed a lot, and the other releases, then I shouldn't hesitate and get prepared for the best musical experience of this month.

I think it isn't as good as the last 3 albums, but others like it. It's heavier, louder and less atmospheric than the last 3, with most of the vocals growled instead of sung, which was a shame, cause I like his singing voice more.

MelancholiaC
Excellent album! With the seemingly apparent lack of quality doom releases this year, this is certainly a doomster's much needed fix of melancholia, and makes me eager to check out their earlier works even more.

Mind you, in case you havent read the additional info, this is not a shift from their style, this is a rerecording of some of their very early material.

"Lumikuuro" is a track from their first album. Their best maybe.

Really? Because these are songs from old albums, except for Unsoi.

Nope, the original Lumikuuro songs are still superior to these versions for sure. But these are great nonetheless.

All in all, a highly enjoyable album. Lumikuuro remains the best Kauan album, though.

This re recorded version of Aidin Laulu is great: that elegant touches of bass, that violin... put your headphones and fly. Physical release from Blood Music was in level with music also.
