Bought this at a Sunn O))) concert, knowing that Greg Anderson had done stuff for Goatsnake. Disappointingly average.

Quite an apt description

I mean, the album is not necessarily bad, by any means. It's just that it doesn't do much for me. Other than the awesome-ass guitar sound provided by those Sunn amps, it just sounds average.

Okay, so after coming back to listen to this, I'm starting to appreciate it more for what it is, rather than for what I expected it to be when I first bought it. Listening to it while not having the expectation of listening to weird experimental shit makes me enjoy it a bit more than I did at first.
