It's like a more subdued, Scottish-sounding Ensiferum...from Italy. It's intriguing, but not super-enthralling. There is a lack of energy in the vocals and (metal) musicianship. I adore all of the little touches from the bagpipes to the mandolins. The drums are very cool with the abundance of tom usage. Yet, the songs themselves lack bite.
