It's like a more subdued, Scottish-sounding Ensiferum...from Italy. It's intriguing, but not super-enthralling. There is a lack of energy in the vocals and (metal) musicianship. I adore all of the little touches from the bagpipes to the mandolins. The drums are very cool with the abundance of tom usage. Yet, the songs themselves lack bite. Even the faster moments fail to truly grip me as intended. Full review here.
