English doom sludgers Grimpen Mire have shocking news to share. They have informed that the band's bassist/vocalist Paul van Linden has died. The trio is now reduced to drummer Ian Davis and guitarist/vocalist Jim Goad. The members didn't divulge any details regarding his death.

The band released this message: "It is with an exceptionally heavy heart that I have to type this, but Paul lost his life last night. Obviously we are all devastated and our thoughts are with his family. RIP Paul, our life long brother and best friend. Jim / Ian, Grimpen Mire."

Great live band and a great stage presence Paul had and a nice guy too. Sad news this.
