His former band Infidel released this statement two days ago: "We are sorry to break this news... John Grden the previous drummer of Infidel and Pessimist and many other projects has passed away last Tuesday 6/2/15 of heart failure. His funeral will be held today at Evens Funeral Home in Parkville Md at 3:00 - 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00. He was among the best drummers we've ever had the privilege of jamming with. Our condolences go out to his family, friends and band mates."
Pessimist said: "Pessimist are saddened to hear of the passing of our friend, former bandmate and drummer, John Grden. John recorded on Slaughtering The Faithful CD (2001), and was our live drummer from 2000-2001, playing festivals such as New England Hardcore and Metal Fest, NJ Metal Meltdown, Ohio Deathfest, and 'November to Dismember' in CA. RIP brother, keep on blasting! You will be missed."

He'll form another great band with Dawn Crosby, also of Fear Of God fame, in Metal Heaven. May he rest in peace.
