Omen - Eternal Black Dawn

While it's interesting to hear how Omen sounds in the early 2000s in the form of this sole album, it's at the same time somewhat disappointing an experience. A lot of the things (mainly in songwriting) that made this band exceptionally good in their early discography are almost entirely nonexistent here. There are some hints left of the greatness the band once had in moments such as the song "1000 Year Reign", the second half of "House On Rue Royale" and of course the whole medley "The Spectre Of Battles Past".

This is one of those records where there is potential but the production and performance just feels amateurish and ruins the experience.
