Listened to a Hercules album (the new one). Wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. Definitly needs a better singer, though. Parts of it made me think of a lower grade Isengarde playing power metal.
I literally have my own private access to a surf break so I would never get anything done working from home, in fact I had the dy off the other day to do some renovation and spent half of the day surfing

Played the new track 3 times now. Actually a really addictive little track, though simply written. Glad they / he didn't tone down the wild atmospheric soloing.

Defo didn't expect you would enjoy considering how techdeath/proggy it is. But yeah I can see what the "atmospheric soloing" you refer to.

Always been a big fan of Mithras. Thankfully they've never been overproduced or really wanky sounding, more brutal if anything, along with that almost trademark atmospheric edge.
Wouldn't really say second half is better but just that its heavier and more dm-ish than the first half. When the first riff of "When The Stars Align" breaks out, its reaches almost Darkspace-levels of massiveness and cosmic awesomeness. The double bass drumming here is on par with Ulcerate at their very best. Such an excellent record this. Will be replaying a lot. Also probably should be staff picked or something.

Definitely. This totally needs some more recognition on the site, the number of votes is depressing haha. One of my favorites of the year.
Gave it three spins in a row. It blew me away. Without a doubt this is their best. Goddamn the production is incredible as it makes everything so fucking crushing. Argh,
