Septicflesh - New Album Update, Coming In 2017

The follow-up to Titan is dropping next year and the Greeks Septicflesh are about to record it. The symphonic extreme metallers recently updated on the new album process. The band will record once again with the Filmharmonic Orchestra of Prague on the 18th and 19th of December as part of their next album (due late spring 2017). Guitarist and award winning classical composer Christos Antoniou has already collaborated with the Czech orchestra for the three previous Septicflesh releases: Communion (2008), The Great Mass (2011), and Titan (2014).

The Greek demons will work with Swedish producer Jens Bogren at Fascination Street studios. Their new drummer Krimh will be appearing for the first time on a full recording.

Yeah Communion and Titan are good albums but The Great Mass is almost perfect ! There was either too little or too much orchestra in the other two albums imo so I hope for a better balance.

Not sure what to think about the drummer change though, Fotis Bernando was perfect for me and really loved his unique foot-driven snare blast. Krimh is good and technical but for Septicflesh Fotis was just perfect.

Yeah... something between Communion and The Great Mass would be great!
Also I'm a bit worried about Krimh's drumming. Not saying he is bad or anything but Fotis always made it all sound great, very creative. Hope this guy is offering something fresh and not a bunch of blastbeats...

Personally was disappointed with everything after Communion. Give us Communion 2.0!

Loved Communion, The Great Mass and Titan. There is never too much orchestra What I like about them is that there is a really great balance of fast riff and slow/melodic riff (this is what Fleshgod Apocalypse is missing).

Not sure why everyone wants Communion v2.0 Personally, I'd like to hear something different. The Great Mass was a slight step down and Titan even more so, but I doubt they'll take a step in the "right" direction with this one.

I like they are working with Jens Bogren again... Titan was ok album (not as good as previous two though), but production was lackluster...I have a feeling this time they will make a blast of a record!

Judging by the three songs they've released so far, the new album is going to be killer. Definitely already better than Titan.
