I'm only up to track 3, and it's CRAZY!... good crazy

Not liked singles, its hard to advantage or industrial to me, just one time listen to me.

Do you like your music weird? This is another masterpiece then from DHG.

The fact that Aldrahn is missing though is noticeable.

Do I like it? Yes I do. Is it black metal? No. Can this be called avant-garde music? No. Weird? Not much. Industrial? Definitely not.

DHG succeed where many other bands failed miserably. They managed not only to blend so many genres and influences from other bands but also made it into coherent, deeply and thoroughly thought about package.

Even though I dislike the vocals, this album admittedly sounds amazing!

Next week I'll tell you if could overcome in my heart the Lovebites' last one, the Ne Obliviscaris' last one and the Enslaved's last one (my favorite ones of this year).

Listened to it nonstop today. I struggled to even listen to previous records, but on this one I can't stop listening to it

The sound/production of this album is stellar. The music is challenging and requires repeated listens. It makes me want to spend a lot of time with it.

Very interesting album. Its originality/production convinces me.

This is really interesting stuff. I especially liked Interstellar Nexus. Vocals could be better though.

This is truly and wholly brilliant.


Production is fantastic like previously stated. Wow. Vocals are a little too high in the mix for me personally but I got used to it halfway through the second song. I love the electronic additions.

Fantastic, really enjoying this one. There’s some weird vocal delivery in parts that adds to the atmosphere really well imo

Seems like I need to check this.

Not on the hype train yet. I gave it one playthrough but it didn't click with me at all. Maybe it is as you say, it may require more playthroughs. Production is spotless though.

Well, it is not exactly supercomplex, but it definitely unfolds more the more you play it. It's progressive and avantgarde, and emotional and melancholic, but also the most accessible DHG album of their avantgarde era. At times, it's not even metal at all. An album of the year contender for me, along with the new Sermon.

My only real AOTY candidate so far, loved it

In this album there's several moments of pure genius, it's wonderfully crafted and has quite a remarkable blend of genres, yet it's structure is never overly complex.

I'm pretty sure that if I compiled some things said in this thread into a review, it would be as preposterous and over the top as Rupophobic's verbal fellatio that was his Blackwater Park review.

After 4 listens I seem to be standing outside this impromptu circle of unfettered (I almost wrote unadulterated) praise, wondering whether I'm listening to the same album as everyone.

I listened to the first and a half songs or so. I have the same impression.

Just a word. FASCINATING.

I'll be spinning it more times, because it was a very complex but entertaining listening for me.

If it wasn't for the vocals this would have been an absolutely brilliant album.

I might need to give it another listen because I couldn't get it. Hopefully is one of those albums that grows on you over time.

These days almost nothing surprises me anymore in metal scene. But this album is soooo gooood, mesmerizing. Wow, what a great discovery.

Looks interesting I might check it out.
