As the release of Insomnium's Anno 1696 fast approaching, I got to read the story coming along with the music album so I could approach this as a writer interview in addition to a musician interview. Not only is Insomnium one of the favorite bands of my teenage years, but the narrative and conceptual focus of the past few releases was intriguing enough to inspire this interview.

With a small kid in the house 30 minutes interview is few days of writing (unless you're using Google's speech-to-text option, but if both of you are not natvive speakers the effects may be... weird). Last time I was doing an interview with ex-Thin Lizzy member and it was like 80-90 minutes conversation. Amount of work to transcribe this beast was insane. Still, I'm gonna do both video and text.
