I'm reaching a point as a reviewer in which every damn album from Sweden sounds the same to me, and I mean, we get a lot of material from Sweden!
Anyway, this album from Construcdead is nothing new to me, some names popped up at the first listen, names like Soilwork, Darkane and The Defaced.

Not only because Peter of Soilwork produced this album I relate the sound of these two bands, because, these guys follow some patterns of the aftermentioned act, adding more modern touches to their music, like modern rock and even some Nu-Metal, but those influences are used wisely and not in much quantity through the disc.

Some tracks have memorable moments like "Rise" and "Bricks" which are my favorites songs on Violadead, as for the rest of songs, they're aggressive songs with nice drumming, great grunting and clean singing, catchy choruses and chunky guitars once in a while.
Ok, wait a second, this seems to be a correct formula to success right? Sadly, is not, these guys need to show us a little more of originality when it comes to songwriting, because their work is too similar to Soilwork, and by doing that sure they can either bring new listeners but can also repel many Metalheads, like me. We're tired to listen the same thing over and over again!

Melodic Death Metal from Sweden with a modern touch under the veins, cliché-driven Melodeath from Sweden done by guys who have similar bands as side projects, some could think that these guys got nothing else to do, well, maybe they don't, but at least I'm sure that they make more money than I do.
