01. At The Gates
02. Innocence
03. The Miracle
04. Out From The Shelter

A Demo from an Italian Power Metal band is not an unusual thing nowadays, since a lot of Power Metal bands are coming from the land of pasta. That's the case here, a band called Hiding Tower to be more detailed.

This is the first time I receive a Demo with the carton slipcase that normal promos from labels come from, so, that was a nice surprise. The cover art, is very good, a kind of wall with some paintings, seems like taken from an ancient culture or something.

Only 4 songs, so let's keep the review short, Hiding Tower doesn't play the usual super fast Power Metal type, is more mid-tempo with some key variations and Prog influences, first song "At the Gates" doesn't catch my attention, but the second "Innocence" does, cool song with great keyboard use, but sadly in the third track, the vocalist start to get into my nerves, he doesn't suck at singing, but his particular voice can annoy some people, like me.
The last track brings on some real innovation, and I must say that is the best song in the whole Demo, although it has some typical Power Metal passages, also ontains some nice instrumental interludes.

"Disappearing World" is part of a concept about the Turkish invasion in Otranto, a town settled in the Salento peninsula, in 1480. The realization of the complete concept will be available on their full length album, with no release date yet, so we'll have to wait to find out the rest of the story.

Hiding Tower is not a remarkable band, neither they have done anything worth praising, but sure they're on the right path, maybe a little effort at the time of songwriting and "calibrating" the singer could do the trick, until then, we'll wait here.
