Loss is a death metal band from Sweden that I had honestly not heard anything about before I got their new promo CD. I searched and searched but failed to find their one and only full length album Verdict of Posterity, which was released in 2001. And that's sad because I hate to review albums of bands whom I don't know anything about their past. But since this is only a promo CD with 3 songs only, I think I can get away with it, but on other hand, the thing is that I liked these 3 songs so much that I will for sure search for their full length album anyway.

This is melodic death metal that is much comparable to those early Swedish death metal bands like: Grave, Unleashed, Dismember and Entombed. Well most of all I think they sound like Grave, but without copying them or becoming a clone.

My only complaint is the production which is not really the best one. And that's surprising because the album have been recorded at a professional studio (Abyss Studio) and recorded and mixed by Tommy Tägtgren. Anyway, this is a band that all death metal fans should keep their eyes on, especially if you are a fan of the early Swedish melodic death metal wave.
