Heir Opethian
Basically what I (yes, that is me dimwit, not you) deem to be the best song from each album.
Did this because like many others I am FUCKING excited for Heritage to come out, just three days after my birthday!

Opeth - Orchid Hmm, probably Forest of October. It does not open up the album or close it, but it's certainly contains the heart of it all. |
2.
Opeth - Morningrise Oh how it kills me NOT to say To Bid You Farewell... but the groovier, metal portions of Advent knock the socks that I don't have on, off. |

Opeth - My Arms, Your Hearse April Ethereal kicks the album off in classic fashion. Rife with atypical, yet appropriate (signature Opeth) sounding riffing, it slowly builds and opens itself up lending to an already amazing album. |

Opeth - Still Life This is one of those cases where the album started off on too high a note for the rest to show off their respective qualities in as spectacular fashion. Listening to The Moor will satisfy enough. |

Opeth - Blackwater Park It is here, and only here, in which I'm compelled to say ALL the songs serve their purposes so well, that there is no "best" song. |

Opeth - Deliverance An initially underwhelming album actually gets better with repeated listens, oh and especially it's opener " Wreath". It's heavy as hell... and hell is really heavy. |
7.
Opeth - Damnation In an album bred to elicit sad emotions, none do it better than "Hope Leaves"... none. |
8.
Opeth - Ghost Reveries The songs on this album are more consistent than most others in Opeth's catalogue (despite TGC sadly), but it ultimately goes to Harlequin Forest. |
9.
Opeth - Watershed The Lotus Eater, no contest. |
