Thanks for thinking about me. I am halfway in it, but powerviolence is not really my thing (yet). I find it too fast and jerky for me, not heavy enough. But in my honest opinion, not trying to sugarcoat this, the guys are different, it has some really nice moments especially with the bass, even if overall, I don't adhere much.

Adding some new blood to this since I took out so many. I have a feeling I'll need to leave this is purely "classic" hardcore/crust/crossover/d-beat and make a new one for post-hardcore/metalcore, and another one for mathcore/deathcore.
Anyway, the new kids:
The Tidal Sleep - Vorstellungskraft
Oh, Sleeper - Children Of Fire
Implore - Black Knell
Seizures - The Sanity Universal
Fever Dreams - Life Has Departed
Homewrecker - Worms & Dirst
Baptists - Bushcraft
Death Mercedes - Du Soleil Refroidi

Dear Il, I have a rec for you Don't know how to describe it though...noise rock/post-hardcore/alternative metal with some electronics and jazz influences? Let me know about your impressions.
PS. That Calvaiire's debut was released in '13 if memory serves.

First of all, thank you for thinking of me. Second thing, I love that cover/logo, keeping it in the folder of chosen ones. And finally, great album. Comes in like a gust of fresh air after all the grind I listened to these last two days. I love when bands sing in something else than English as well. Jerry had introduced me to some alternative Polish bands, and I always found that language went great with this kind music.
For Calvaiire, those fuckers released it on the 31st of Dec 2013, just to make me look wrong . Corrected, thanks.

Ok. Because I have talked about it for years, I did a little updating, here are the new chosen few:
#1 - Death Engine | Mud | 2015 - Noise + Hardcore - Anguish in an urban setting - Review: http://tinyurl.com/qjz4oz9 - http://tinyurl.com/qzxa3dw
#20 - Murder Construct | Results | 2012 - Grind - The results are in, and they're fucking good. http://tinyurl.com/pfn37cy
#26 - Feastem | Avaritia Humanae | 2013 - Grind - When things are sung in Finnish they always sound more angry - http://tinyurl.com/o7sq2al
#30 - Dark Sermon | In Tongues | 2013 - Deathcore - Death metal wrapped deathcore for your pleasure. http://tinyurl.com/n7x6pfa
#36 - Code Orange | Love Is Love//Return To Dust | 2012 - Hardcore - Formely "Code Orange Kids" - unpredictable and heavy hardcore - http://tinyurl.com/nat9yzs
#49 - Cleric | Regressions | 2010 - Mathcore - It's a weird album, very long and with experimental passages, but worth the try. http://tinyurl.com/kwvffv6
#50 - Rotten Sound - Species At War | 2013 - Grind - Because it's good grind - http://tinyurl.com/ndu2hkd
#52 - Graves | Fides Ad Nauseam | 2015 - Blackened/sludgy hardcore - EP - Finally the EP is here! Hellish - http://tinyurl.com/ng6s5cc
#54 - Dead In The Dirt | The Blind Hole | 2013 - Grind - Fun fun fun blood blood blood - http://tinyurl.com/lw2mrwe
I don't want to copy all the awesome new -core I found on both the 2015 list and this, but I'll still add the mandatory listens (DEATH ENGINE) + the bands that really need some attention. I should really do a grind list.

To be honest I thought about giving it another go today as I went through the comments to see if there were any suggestions I refused/forgot to add.
I'm listening to it right now. I am liking it much more than a few months ago. I was barely getting acquainted with crust at the time.

Interested to see Rotten Sound on here. Great band. Didn't you say you were inspired to make a grindcore list, cause I think that RS would be a band you'd wanna save for that list.
Also, you honor me with your referencing my list. *bows*

Haha yeah as Rod said I am already spreading the good word about Junbgbluth! If you like these guys, you'll love The Tidal Sleep (#13), as well as Fjort (#5, nominated in the MSA woop woop), in this list.
I actually was about to say "DUH KIWI JUNGBLUTH IS HERE ALREADY" but I didn't add them, so let me correct that mistake. Thank you .

They complete each other, the honour is mine *curtsy*.
Indeed it's a great band that needs to have a spot with other bands of the same calibre. Yeah I totally should a grind one because this list is a bit of a mess now - that I can actually really distinguish the genres apart and see how different they are. I'll take out all the grind that's here (and in the sludgecore one) and this will remain hardcore/metalcore/mathcore/post-hardcore. Until I amass enough bands to create other genre lists.
I'll start working on it shortly. It'll be a modern grind one, because once again I lack knowledge for everything before the 2000s/2010s. Maybe you'll pair up with me in making a classic one?

I don't listen to nearly enough classic grind to attempt something like that, and I think this list does a better job with it then I ever would. I'll stick with my hardcore list (and my Death Wore Black one). I'll keep an eye out for yours though. Prepared to get swamped with recs.

Yeah there are many things in there I haven't tried yet, thanks for the link.
I'm sure you'll pop in with some recs that will put me to shame though .

If I may give some suggestions, They are not really fresh but I consider them "modern"
Gallows
If Swedish vocals don't scare you off then:
Totalt Jävla Mörker (Total Fucking Darkness - Cold World)
Raised Fist

Totally modern for me too, you're right on the stuff I like. I do know TJM, great d-beat, and I actually love Scandinavian languages in my music. It's just that off the whole Swedish d-beat bands, it's maybe one of my least favourite. That's why you don't see it here. Also, thanks for the translation of their name.
My latest review is for a Danish d-beat/crust album that slays everything - if I can bounce on your recs and give you one myself : Halshug's Blodets Band.
Raised Fist - I meant to try them out, but hadn't got around to it. Sounds real nice. I shall just start with the album from which you pulled that video.
Gallows - I actually didn't know this band at all, thanks for the discovery, I'll explore and get back to you.

I haven't heard any of their albums in full, but the few tracks I've heard back when I got into metal I still love Would be nice to see them hear if their albums are any good.

Oh that's a cute . I also remember a few -core songs that cemented my interest in metal (amongst a lot of nu metal, Lamb Of God and Amon Amarth songs which were the main reason I'm here). I actually remember talking about it to Jeff, who kinda told me I was listening to crap, and the impressionable young me just followed his opinion and ditched all that -core away :'(.
I am currently listen to Ignoring The Guidelines (2000, I don't know if any of those songs are in it) and it's seriously nice and very angry hardcore. Fast and catchy with plenty of simple yet hooking riffs. But I'm almost sure you'd hate it now haha.

Seriously this is awesome. I should have taken the step much earlier. Love the riffs, the energy, and especially the vocal delivery. Everything. Thanks, I have a feeling this will be played quite often. It's got a spot quite high right away, and it fucking deserves it. #21

I was far too impressionable when I first started listening to metal. I heard -core was for "posers" and immediately disregarding anything of the sort. Only recently was I able to smack myself out of that misinformed daze and enjoy some -core
Just checked: I've only heard songs from Sound Of The Republic and Veil Of Ignorance. Off to listen to their 2000 release! I'll let you know the verdict
