This is a list that will gather my most recent discoveries in modern grind and affiliated sub-genres and variations (such as deathgrind, cybergrind, blackened grind etc...) that are worthy of a good number of listens. Keep in mind this isn't a "the absolute classics" kind of list. I'm both kinda ignorant and not that interested when it comes to powerviolence and early grind, but a few older releases and modern classics might find their way into this list because they're favourites of mine.

- Most of the items that have a significant amount of grindcore will be removed from my hardcore and sludgecore lists to avoid duplicates.
- Recs are more than welcome. I haven't been into this genre for long, don't hesitate to post. I have done a thorough selection, don't take it the wrong way if you don't see your favourite release here.
- This is in a perpetual work-in-progress state.
- Ordered anti-chronologically to give exposure to recent releases.
- Currently adding all the info and links.
- Will make a drawing for the thumbnail if not too lazy.

I think WHOURKR is much more straightforward and coherent than igorrr, but it's much heavier and intense maybe. To each their own

Yeah you know what I meant. Not disjointed as in too many shifts of style, but in terms of rhythm. I have my limits ^^.

The first four I put together up there ^ when I quoted you are the bands I know and tried already. I liked Fiend, but not enough to put it here. Slavedriver and FOH don't belong in a grind list in my opinion, although I love the latter and appreciate the former. Not a big fan of Svffer, although I'd love a t-shirt with that album cover of theirs.

So now I have four links from you to check (from this batch o'recs). I haven't had time to go through the comment you left on my other list yet. But seriously, a big thanks to you and the effort you put in it. Don't take the "I listened/didn't like/won't add it to the list" kind of comments the wrong way, they're just to inform you of how close to home your recs were. Pretty close if I listened to and liked half. And so far, looking at your recs and browsing some of your bandcamp collec, I would say we deserve the "twins" title. It's almost scary. Stop it. STAHP.

- Antigama: Meteor is definitely one of my favorite grind records as of late. I still mean to try their stuff before that, but I don't think they'll top it.
- Exhumed: I was never a fan of their early stuff, so I definitely think either All Guts, No Glory or Necrocracy would be a worthy contender. I also really liked their rerecording of Gore Metal they just released so that might be a good one, too.
- A Million Dead Birds Laughing: Either the album I posted or Xen would be their best. Bloom was pretty weak (but still listenable, so give it a shot if you so desire).
- Wormrot: Great band. Absolute mindfuckery. I like almost everything they've done, but their best would be probably Abuse, Dirge and the new EP Noise.
- Beaten To Death: I see you've added Dodsfest. I didn't like Dodsfest at all (despite the sweet Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air ref.) and thought Xes And Strokes was way better, but it's your list. I'm just suggesting.

I also have two more recs, but you're probably swamped from the other recs people gave you, so I'll wait until you put some on the list.

Just a little update as I've gone through some of your recs
- 1: I'm looking forward the upcoming album. Will review it, hoping I can write something that does it justice.
- 2: Yeah, I listened to All Guts No Glory, and I have that re-recording sitting in my hard drive, I'll decide whether to include these guys after I get to it.
- 3: Just listened to Force Fed Enlightment. Really cool album. Although I don't see myself listening to it often, it's still too original and good to leave it out, added it to the list.
- 4: Weirdly Wormrot and I didn't click. I'll give it a second chance.
- 5: I haven't listened to the other Beaten To Death albums, I had no point of reference. I will try Xes during my work-out later.

Go on, post whatever you have. As long as people keep posting I will be reminded of what I have to listen to.

In that case:

Have some "Rocky Mountain Hydro Grind..."

...And some Banjo-and-Trumpet-laden Freedom Grind.

Also I'm quite surprised you have no Agoraphobic Nosebleed on here, especially considering you seemed to like Agorapocalypse.

K, now I'm officially tapped out. Thanks for the considerations. Keep up the good work.

I even have a very lame clever family guy joke in my review of that album!
I'd personally go for End Time based on originality. Sure, the debut is groundbreaking sutff like the other classics but End Time stands alone when it comes to the way the guitar is used most of the time.
Plus... FUCK CANCER!

You aren't allowed to listen to grindcore......ever again........you broke my heart, Ilham. Why would you do this to me?
Why don't you like them though? I feel like, as far as grind goes, they're pretty inoffensive and easy to get into.

Simple, because she gets her nourishment from the desperation and head-scratching of others. Pure evil.

You guys wanna get her into Brutal Truth but you recommend the weakest album? Pff, Extreme Conditions Demands Extreme Responses is where it's at.

Also, check this one. Insane grind with insaner vocals. It won the 2014 grind of the year, so I don't know why it's not more popular (which is a massive paradox in itself). I also love the cover art.

Sorry Alex, I just don't, Brutal Truth just doesn't get me going. I don't mind them really, but I never felt the need to relisten to one of their albums. I actually gave Evolution Through Revolution a spin before doing this list and that left me satisfied, but totally unmoved, it's been a while now and that's the only reason that comes to mind.

I know this album, tried getting into it a couple of times because of the scores it got from the staff during the MSA nominations. I actually voted against it I think, really didn't like it to be honest. The vocals are exactly what I disliked about it, found them extremely irritating after a couple of songs, no matter how short they are.
