Many of mine seem to be in the upper part of your list as well, others not.
I generally consider their later work as less attractive, though some songs on Book of souls are surprisingly enjoyable.

That's a very nice list. And indeed it seems like we do have a lot of common songs in our top 20. With Iron Maiden there's so many great songs to choose from, it becomes hard to make a list. I like their later work a lot some of it is on par with their 80s albums imo (Brave New World and The Book Of Souls most notably and A Matter Of Life And Death comes close). But it's different that's for sure and not everyone will enjoy it as much, I'm fully aware of that. I've come across people that like their 90s period a lot (which I think was very spotty) but that shows that everyone has their favourite record.

And that does make it interesting to share things like favourite songs and albums (like you said).

The way I started with this was giving each song an individual score an then go from one album to the next. After I had done that, I ranked them according to the score I gave them. Giving them scores from the start made it a bit easier to rank them.

Infinite Dreams is such a magnificent song. It has great guitar riffs. The lyrics are fantastic and they really felt relatable. On top of that I think it's one of Bruce's best performances imo (in fact that whole album has probably my favourite Bruce performance).

As for The Angel And The Gambler... The repitition of the already weak lyrics on top of the mediocre riffs and the overall weak production makes that song by far my least favourite Maiden song. It's just a very disappointing and dull song imo.

And for some reason I never got into that one. He saw this list and was surprised I ranked Starblind so high. It shows that there's a lot to discuss about when we're are talking about Maiden's discography.

And you're right, it should be Exile. Well spotted! (going to change that). Don't know where I got "kill" from (probably from the album name).

"22 Acacia Avenue" is, for me, a top 3 song on a top 3 Maiden album. "Starblind" is a great song, but I probably wouldn't put it as high as you did. Of course, with such a vast discography everyone's going to have wildly different personal favourites and rankings.

Individual scores for each song might work. I've already been thinking about a rudimentary tier system to get a handle on this. I'm going to do it. Damn you.

you're probably right.
Before I add it, I'll probably have to give the new album another listen, as well as Book of Souls and AMOLAD. And see where is its place.
