The Best Of Dissonant Metal Metal art of dissonance as I love it.
Rules: - on album per band, unless the band has very different albums. -I'm not picky for albums released before 2000. -I'm not picky for genres that are to some degrees unusual for the dissonance, like sludge metal. This list is open to suggestions.

Evolution: Sailing The Seas Of Prog Recently, instead of scouring too much the albums of the year I'm in, I decided to take a deeper journey and appreciate progressive music (prog metal/rock). While I'm still in the early beginnings of my journey, I decided to make a list to the albums I fully listen to so that I can keep charting my voyage in these vast seas. Some albums are not yet added because I need to listen them well and grab my favorites out, and some bands are on queue. I'm also eager to hear some recommendations, so thanks in advance for them!

Canadian Metal Releases from Canadian bands that I really like. Ordered alphabetically by artists because I'm OCD like like. Will possibly re-order list by favorite album. Limited to one release per band, only full lengths. Essential albums are noted as such.

But these albums are some brilliant thrash gems.

Thrashing Fury I'm not a big fan of Thrash, these are perhaps the only albums I enjoy listening to, and even then only rarely. So enjoy if you can.

Bands I'm Grateful To Have Seen Live (in rough chronological order) I consider myself very lucky to have grown up, not just on the West Coast of the United States, but right in the heart of one of history's great metal scenes--the San Francisco Bay Area. So many awesome memories from so many incredible local bands, with other acts from all over the world regularly passing through as well. Time to memorialize in no particular order.

Classic Metal Albums Of Forever *** READ ME *** This list is about the greatest metal albums of all-time, from all sub-genres and all countries. You won't see bands like Deep Purple, Rush, BOC, Zeppelin, etc., nor will you see bands like Tool, Rage ATM, Melvins and Soundgarden. While I love many of those bands, my definition of metal does not include them.
