Masterplan gives us their debut album. First of all, just let me say that Masterplan is not warmed up Helloween or Ark stuffs. It's a complete new fusion between Roland Grapow's guitars and Uli Kusch's drums with the incredible voice of Jorn Lande. Great songs, with deep atmospheres.
Sometimes near the metal FM, songs like 'Into the light' or 'Soulburn' smell totally fresh easy compositions, but so wonderfull for the ears. Every melodic part of the album is a slap on your face cause Jorn's voice is always on the mood and very strong. The wheel feeling of the band is going and gives a best result for that category of metal. 'Bleeding eyes' is so oriental and deep, 'Crawling from hell' takes you in a complete land of fury. A great album for people who need a good metal journey.

Near perfection...This one never gets old to me. And with every listen a different song pops out as current favorite of mine.

This CD is a true classic in my mind, the very definition of what a power metal album should be imo.

Exctly! This is power metal at its best imo.
Masterplan's works are by far the most enjoyable pieces of Power metal out there. =D And this album stays in the top, probably my alltime favorite in the genre.

This album defines what power metal should be like, every song memorable, and not super cheesy like a lot of power metal bands tend to be. songs like sail on, heroes, spirit never dies, and crystal night are some of my favorites although i love the entire album and i just discovered it this week

I just changed the rating from 9 to 8. This album is very good, but it's slightly overrated. Enlighten Me is SO boring. Soulburn gets kinda boring around the middle of the song. But there are some standout tracks as well. The best songs are: Kind Hearted Light, Spirit Never Die (easily the best song), Sail On, and Crystal Night.
