"Tell me that I'm a sinner... "

So here is the album that has made this famous English band lose a huge part of their first-hour fans... Paradoxically, it's the one that has made me know My Dying Bride. As I had never heard "The Angel and the Dark River" before, I absolutely couldn't be prejudiced against this new one, and I have been able to immerse in it objectively, something that unfortunately some of the fans did not do...

After the renowned and poetic "Like Gods Of The Sun" My Dying Bride started working on the successor of this brilliant album. Sadly, Martin Powell announced to the rest of the band that he would leave My Dying Bride and everything happened so suddenly, with the rest of the band having to keep on working on the new album without an important part of them, Powell's keyboard/piano and violin work.

Rating: 7 This album always gets bashed for being different, and even though it has some awful moments but "The Whore, The Cook And The Mother" and "Under Your Wings And Into My Arms" are two of my all time favorite MDB songs

Rating: 3 Fucking Wow......this was pretty bad, I must say.......What were they thinking? Like is this some sort of feeble attempt at sounding "Grunge"?

"34.788%...Complete" is to My Dying Bride as "Turbo" is to Judas Priest.

......well, at least the majority of their discography is excellent though.

What a retarded name for an album.

So... Did they finish recording the album already?

What a retarded name for an album.

I wouldn't say it's retarded but it's definitely on the odd side of things. Which is understandabe considering it comes from a dream one member had at the time, and dreams are pretty weird anyways.

The album's title was derived from a dream guitarist Calvin Robertshaw had where he was told the human race had a limited lifespan on earth, 34.788% of which had already expired.

Idk dude, even with that explanation I still think that it sounds stupid . Well not as stupid as "Favourite Worst Nightmare" but still stupid.

I personally think dreams are fascinating in how bizarre they are. I even keep a notebook close to my bed to write out my dreams as soon as I wake up just to have a laugh months later. I once dreamt the aliens came to earth and I saw Don Francisco hang himself out of desperation as the aliens came closer to him and wanted to lobotomize him.

I have no idea why you wouldn't make at least one song out of that.
